Hi, do you know who I am? I’m the most famous tropical fruit in the world and very appreciated in tropical regions. I am considered exotic, with skin tone varying from yellowish to greenish, and occasionally red tones as well. My pulp is juicy and has a delicious aroma. I can be considered a king or queen, due to my “crown”. Countless healthy recipes are based on me.

Pineapple fruit, according to USDA, is considered a highly nutritious food: rich in Vitamins C and B, beta-carotene, potassium, magnesium and calcium. The fruit also contains bromelain, benefic for inflammation and digestive purposes. For more detailed information, click here.

Healthy recipes – Pineapple Smoothie

  1. Preparation time: 15 minutes
  2. Serving: 1 portion
  3. Ingredients:
    • 100g of frozen Pineapple pulp
    • 50g of frozen Yogurt
    • ½ cup of filtered water
    • 2 rocks of ice
    • 3 mint leaves
    • Optional: 100g of frozen coconut pulp
  4. Blend all ingredients until you obtain a uniform and consistent “smoothie”. Sweeten if you like, and serve immediately


Healthy recipes – Pineapple Juice

  1. Preparation time: 15 minutes to prepare 
  2. Serving: 4 glasses
  3. Ingredients:
    • 400g of frozen Pineapple pulp 
    • 10 mint leaves
    • 500ml of Sparkling Water
    • 8 rocks of ice
    • Optional: sugar
  4. Blend frozen pulp with leaves. Strain and add the sparkling water. Serve immediately with 2 rocks of ice per glass.   

Healthy recipes – Pineapple Mousse

  1. Preparation time: 15 minutes to prepare and 04 hours refrigerating
  2. Serving: 1 medium size desert form
  3. Ingredients:
    • 100g of frozen Pineapple pulp (leave resting for 01 hour of the freezer)
    • 1 can of condensed milk
    • 1 can of heavy cream
  4. Blend all ingredients and put in a medium sized form. Refrigerate for 04 hours before serving
