Healthy recipes – guava dessert and beverages

Guava can be used to bake a sweet cake that can easily be sliced and served in a healthy food restaurant or snack bar, and also be served during a pleasant afternoon coffee with your friends or family. Brazilian Globo TV collected several healthy recipes, including this delicious cake.


Guava Sweet Cake

  1. Preparation time: 60minutes (30-40 baking)
  2. Serving: 8-10 medium sized pieces
  3. Cake ingredients:
    • 200g of guava fruit pulp
    • 1 cup of sugar
    • 1 tablespoon of margarine
    • 2 cups of wheat flour
    • 1 cup of maize starch
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 cup of milk
    • 1 teaspoon of yeast
  4. Topping ingredients:
    • 500g of guava frozen pulp
    • 200g of sugar
    • 100ml of water
    • 1 teaspoon of salt
  5. Put all the cake ingredients in a blender, apart for the yeast. Blend until you obtain a uniform mixture. Include the yeast. Bake in an anointed medium sized cake form for 30-40 minutes. 
  6. For the cake topping, mix all the ingredients low heat until you obtain a thick liquid

Guava Fruit Pulp Juice with Milk and Mint

  1. Ingredients: 
    • 200g of Guava fruit pulp
    • 02 cups of milk
    • 2 mint leaves
    • 4 tablespoons of sugar
    • 2 ice rocks
  2. Blend all ingredients until you obtain a uniform thick liquid. Serves 4 medium sized cups


Guava Smoothie

  1. Ingredients: 
    • 100g of frozen Guava fruit pulp
    • 1 cup of water (or coconut water)
  2. Blend until you obtain a uniform liquid. Consume immediately.
